What are memories of tomorrow ?
The artworks presented in the "Memories of Tomorrow" collection explore the latent tension between innocence and vast systems, digital, urban, and emotional. Each artwork reflects a modern visual sensibility shaped by digital culture, childhood memories, and a cosmic imagination.
The artworks in this collection are a blend of different graphic styles, reminiscent of vintage comic book covers, European fantasy scenarios, and cosmic science fiction, where the simplicity of lines and flat colors convey an emotional gravity.
The artistic style of this collection is a form of contemporary surrealism rooted in emotional clarity and symbolic simplicity that is both gentle and unsettling, playful and philosophical. At once fragile and luminous, these images invite the viewer to slow down, to decipher the silence between the forms, and to recognize themselves in this space where vulnerability meets wonder.
Each artwork unfolds in a space suspended between innocence and lucidity. It evokes a fragile future, perceived through the prism of memory, as if each image were a memory yet to come. These works offer a reflection on modern existence, anchoring abstract imagery in intimate human feelings: the feeling of being lost, the feeling of being small, the experience of being together, the imagining of the future.
The deliberately minimalist figures and objects amplify their emotional resonance. Short phrases appear as declarations, thoughts, whispers. The words guide interpretation while leaving room for ambiguity, thus reinforcing the balance between clarity and mystery. The figures, often solitary and introspective, move within silent spaces. They embody moments of contemplation, instants where emotion unfolds without explicit narrative.
The vibrant pastel tones evoke joy and wonder, but they are often placed in dark or empty contexts: something beautiful exists, but it is precarious. This contrast evokes a feeling of luminous nostalgia, a joy tinged with sadness.
Finally, my style carries within it a poetry of the vulnerable future. It is an emotional future: a tomorrow made of memories, traces, and sensations preserved in symbolic objects.
The Artistic Style
Comic book’s lines
The line work of every artwork of the collection is essential, with thick, clean, black outlines, simplified, almost naive forms, and few realistic details; the focus is on symbolism.
This choice allows for immediate legibility, a strong graphic impact, and a feeling akin to an icon or tarot card.
This collection have for visual DNA pop cosmic surrealism, retro manga illustration, minimalist vector graphics, risograph print aesthetics and pop art.
ETHEREAL COMPOSITIONS
In terms of composition, I often work on my pieces like narrative cards or posters with white borders, short texts (“together,” “dreamland,” “destiny,” “harmony”), a frontal layout, symmetries, centered figures, and a vast sky or open horizon.
Each piece functions like an album cover, a tarot card, a fragment of a story, a scene frozen in time. The goal is to create the impression of leafing through a visual oracle.
My world revolves around duality (two characters, mirrors, soulmates), childhood and memory, destiny, transition, and transformation.
There is always a blend of melancholy and hope, calm and mystery, naivety and existential depth. It is this contrast that makes my work emotionally powerful.
I do manga, pop, surrealism, retro and I fuse all of that into a coherent personal language, with recurring motifs, symbolic storytelling, a strong color identity, a signature print texture and textual poetry.
Signature colors
Color is one of my primary languages.
I use ultra-saturated palettes, rainbow gradients, and black starry backgrounds or gradient skies. The rainbow often recurs as a signature motif, where it becomes light, energy, a bridge, destiny, an aura.
Color is emotional and symbolic: green represents growth/soul/nature, pink symbolizes nostalgia/memory/tenderness, purple signifies mystery/spirituality, and black represents cosmic silence.
An experimental collection
The first nine pieces, which have already sold out, are presented as cards featuring titles in Japanese typography with a new graphic style inspired by anime, manga, pop art, and vintage comics. The design is clean and colorful, giving them a futuristic yet vintage feel.
The next 8 depict my new characters evolving in their new settings, presented in a minimalist, painterly style that focuses solely on them, their behavior, and their emotions.
The final 22 represent the definitive design of the collection. Ethnic, Japanese, and Latin influences are seamlessly integrated into these works, some of which resemble maps, while others look like posters or book covers.
